The High Commission of the United Republic of Tanzania, Abuja-Nigeria

On 7th March, 2025,  H. E. Dr. Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, Former President of Tanzania was received in Monrovia, Liberia as Special Envoy carrying Special Message from Her Excellency Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of Tanzania to His Excellency Joseph Nyumah Boakai, President of Liberia. 

On 06 March 2025, His Excellency Dr. Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, Former President of the United Republic of Tanzania was received in Accra, Ghana as Special Envoy carrying Special Message from Her Excellency Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of  Tanzania to His Excellency John Mahama, President of the Republic of Ghana.

H. E. Dr. Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, Former President of Tanzania  arrived in Abuja as Special Envoy carrying Special Message from H. E. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of Tanzania to H.E. Bola Tinubu, President of Nigeria.

Today, 27th February 2025, H. E. Selestine Gervas Kakele, High Commissioner of the United Republic of Tanzania to the Federal Republic of Nigeria, has participated in a regular meeting of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Ambassador's Group. The Group brings together SADC Head of Missions accredited to the Federal Republic of Nigeria with residence in Abuja to discuss matters of mutual interest to SADC Member States.

On 26th February 2025, H. E. Selestine Gervas Kakele, High Commissioner of the United Republic of Tanzania to the Federal Republic of Nigeria, participated in a regular meeting of the East African Community (EAC) Ambassador's Group. The Group brings together EAC Head of Missions accredited to the Federal Republic of Nigeria with residence in Abuja to discuss matters of mutual interest to EAC Member States.

On 25th Feb 2025, H. E. Selestine Gervas Kakele, High Commissioner, accompanied by Brig Gen Julius Kiyungu Kadawi, Defence Attachè, was honoured to receive Sr Col Ouyang Haishang, Defence Attachè and Col Li Zuyang from Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Nigeria. The deliberations were on matters of mutual interest regarding military diplomacy between Tanzania and China.  

In implementing the Tanzania Foreign Policy with focus on Diaspora, on 22nd Feb. 2025, The Tanzania High Commission in Abuja held a successful Diaspora Meeting. Among other things, H.E. Selestine Gervas Kakele, High Commissioner of Tanzania to Nigeria seized the opportunity to remind the Tanzania Diaspora based in Nigeria to abide with the laws of the host, remain apolitical and continue supporting the Social-Economic development agenda of Tanzania.
