The Mission joins all  Tanzanians to congratulate  players and the management of the Young Africans Sports Club for  their outstanding  victory (2-0) against  Rivers United FC of Nigeria.   The match, which was the 1st leg quarterfinals of the CAF Confederation, took place at Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo. The Mission was at the stadium to support the team. While celebrating Yanga' s amazing victory, we applaud the 6th  Government for its immense support  to sports development.  Best wishes, Young S.C in your next game in Dar Es Salaam.

On 18th April 2023, Tanzania High Commission held a meeting with Participants of Nigeria Defence College Course 31 who are scheduled to travel to Tanzania for a study tour as part of the curriculum. Among other things the Mission seized the opportunity to introduce basic Kiswahili to the participants.

Mr Ahazia Sulieman, Executive Director, New (VON) Mrs Judica Nagunwa, Head of Chancery and Minister Plenipotentiary  On 18th April, 2023, the Tanzania High Commission hosted a meeting with the Voice of Nigeria (VON) to finalize the operational modalities for the Kiswahili Training for VON Broadcasters. This Project is organised by the Mission in collaboration with VON and is aimed at supporting the VON Kiswahili Service, among other efforts. The Project will further aid the execution of the MoU between the Voice of Nigeria and Tanzania Broadcasting Corporation (TBC).

On 14th April, 2023, the High Commissioner of the United Republic of Tanzania to Nigeria, H. E. Dr. Benson A. Bana visited Rochas Foundation College of Africa (ROFOCA), at Owerri, Imo State where he interacted with students from various African countries including Tanzanians who are studying at ROFOCA.

  The Tanzania Investment Centre (TIC) records show that Tanzania has garnered a whopping $1.2 billion in FDI in the first quarter of 2023 . It further shows increased investment by 52.4% from January to March of 2023 compared to the same period in 2022, owing to an improvement in the economic climate and as a result of current mega-infrastructure projects undertaken by the Government. The investment is directed at 93 projects that is expected to create no less than16,400 jobs. The strong success is credited to the Government's continued efforts to create a favorable business climate and Tanzania's return to international arbitration as a result of modifications to the Tanzania Arbitration Act (R.E. 2020).
