E. Benson Alfred Bana, the Commissioner of the United Republic of Tanzania. The Chairman and Director were in Nigeria to Observe the ongoing Nigeria General election under ECOWAS observer team.

On 23rd February, 2023, H. E. Dr. Benson Alfred Bana joined the High Commissioners and Ambassadors from African Union member states in Abuja, for a meeting with African Union Election Observer Group led by H. E. Uhuru Kenyatta, Former President of the Republic of Kenya. The Group is in Abuja for the Nigeria 2023 General Elections. On 23rd February, 2023, H. E. Dr. Benson Alfred Bana joined the High Commissioners and Ambassadors from African Union member states in Abuja, for a meeting with African Union Election Observer Group led by H. E. O n 20 th  February, 2023, H. E. Dr. Benson Alfred Bana joined other High Commissioners from Commonwealth countries in Abuja in a meeting with Commonwealth Election Observer Mission under the leadership of H. E. Thabo Mbeki, Former President of South Africa. The Mission is in Abuja for the Nigeria 2023 General Elections.

  In June 2022, Dr. Benson A Bana, High Commissioner of Tanzania to Nigeria with concurrent accreditation to Ghana was honoured to meet with the Chief Executive Officers of Air Tanzania Company Limited (ATCL), Tanzania National Roads Agency ( TANROADS) and Tanzania Railway Corporation (TRC).

On 17th February 2023, Participants of Course 31 from National Defence College Nigeria payed a courtesy call on H. E. Dr. Benson Alfred Bana, High Commissioner of the United Republic of Tanzania to the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Among other things, Participants were enlightened on social-economic development in Tanzania.

H. E. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania receives Mr. Girma Wake , the Board Chairman of the Ethiopian Airlines Group and his delegation, for a discussion , on 19th February , 2023, in Addis Ababa-Ethiopia.

  H. E. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania in discussion with Vice President of the World Bank, responsible for East and South Africa. Ms. Victoria Kwakwa was accompanied by her delegation to the AU Summit in Addis Ababa on 19th February 2023.

H. E. Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of Tanzania held a bilateral meeting with H. E. Abiy Ahmed Ali, Prime Minister of Ethiopia on the margins of the 36 Session of the AU Assembly in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The leaders discussed issues of common interest to Tanzania and Ethiopia.

On 01/02/2023 Dr. Benson Alfred Bana, High Commissioner, received Mr. Sterling Roop, Deputy Director, Peace and Democratic Governance, USAID/Nigeria and Eivind Fjeldstad, Business Counsellor, Royal Norwegian Embassy in Abuja. They discussed matters of mutual interest.

H. E. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of Tanzania and H. E. Hakainde Hichilema, President of Zambia On sidelines of the African Union Summit, H. E. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan held a meeting with H. E. Hakainde Hichilema, President of Zambia. Discussions centered on trade facilitation and energy investment between Tanzania and Zambia, with TAZAMA top of the agenda. The leaders committed to their countries continuing to work together for the mutual benefit of their citizens.

Former President of the United Republic of Tanzania H. E. Jakaya M. Kikwete has been announced new Chair of the Africa Food Prize on Friday, 17th February, 2023 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, succeeding former Nigerian President General Olusegun Obasanjo, who served as Chairman since 2016.

On 7th-8th February, 2023, His Excellency Dr. Benson Alfred Bana was one of the Guest Speakers at the Africa Business Convention (ABC), 2023. He used the opportunity to elucidate the myriad of business and investment opportunities available in the United Republic of Tanzania and to advocate for better intra-Africa trade relations. The ABC is a business conference and an investment expo, which is sponsored and supported by BusinessDay (Nigeria), for business leaders, governments, policy makers, investors, and entrepreneurs across Africa and beyond. The Convention presents a platform: to discuss and proffer solutions to surmount the prevailing challenges confronting businesses in Africa; to keep abreast with global industry trends and developments and; showcase worthy ideas and projects for matching investments; as well as trade promotions within Africa and with the rest of the world.

  On 15th February 2023, H. E. Dr. Benson Alfred Bana, High Commissioner of the United Republic of Tanzania, met his counterpart H. E. Mrs. Marie Jeanne Ntakirutimana, Ambassador of the Republic of Burundi to Nigeria on a courtesy call. Among other things, the two Heads of Missions discussed issues of mutual interests, particularly on how to strengthen the bilateral relations between their two countries and other matters of mutual interest in the East African Community.
