Strengthening Tanzania's International Cooperation

  H. E. Hon. Amb Liberata Mulamula and H. E. Mr  António Guterres Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation of the United Republic of Tanzania, H. E. Hon. Amb. Liberata Mulamula met with the United Nations Secretary General, H. E. Mr. António Guterres, when she paid a visit to his Office in New York, United States of America.  Among other things, they exchanged views regarding how to improve and strengthen the existing cooperation between Tanzania and United Nations. The visit is in line with the implementation of the agenda of the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, H. E. Samia Suluhu Hassan, to strengthen Tanzania’s International Cooperation.

Zanzibar Domino Tower - Building the Blue Economy

On 25th August 2021, AICL Group and Edinburgh Crowland Management Ltd, signed a contract worth $1.3 Billion with xCassia for architectural designs of 70 Storey building, Zanzibar Domino Commercial Tower, which will be constructed in Zanzibar, Tanzania. Zanzibar Domino Commercial Tower is going to be the 2nd tallest skyscraper in Africa following Iconic Tower in Egypt. The Project is expected to take four years, and it is going to cover a total area of 65,000 Square Metres with 2 underground floors and 78 floors above the ground. During signing ceremony, Mr. Mudrik Ramadhan Soraga, the Minister of State President’s Office (Economy and Investment) of Zanzibar, stated that, the implementation of the project supports the Government’s efforts in inviting more Local and Foreign investors to invest in the Isles.   The Nigeria Export Processing Zones Authority (NEPZA) is the federal agency responsible for promoting and facilitating local and international investments into the 34 licensed Free Export Processing Zones (EPZ) in Nigeria. It administers EPZs, ensuring the establishment of customs, police, immigration, and all necessary legal posts. It works to streamline processes for businesses, and serves as a dispute-resolution mechanism in the case of conflict. It prides itself in is core function which is to establish, license, regulate and operate highly efficient Free Zones by providing a highly competitive incentive scheme, excellent support facilities and service for the purpose of creating an enabling environment for export manufacturing and other commercial activities.
