FIDSON Healthcare PLC Undertakes a Business Mission to the United Republic of Tanzania.

The High Commission coordinated and facilitated the trade mission of FIDSON Healthcare PLC to Tanzania from 21st - 25th April 2024. While in Tanzania, FIDSON held strategic meetings with TIC, TMDA, MSD, and other important actors in the pharmaceutical sector. FIDSON is planning to invest in Tanzania in the near future.

East African Community Ambassadors' Group Regular Meeting For the Month of March, 2024

Today, 27th March, 2024, the High Commission participated in a regular meeting of the East African Community (EAC) Ambassadors’ Group in Abuja which was held at the South Sudan Embassy. South Sudan President is the current Chairperson of the EAC.

The Mission Visits the Ongoing Voice of Nigeria Kiswahili Class

On 26 March 2024, Tanzania High Commission visited the ongoing Voice of Nigeria (VON) Kiswahili class. The training is organized by the High Commission in collaboration with VON, BAKITA and Tanzanian Diaspora. It is aimed at equipping participants with basic Kiswahili knowledge, in line with the existing MOU between Voice of Nigeria and Tanzania Broadcasting Cooperation.

On 22nd March 2024, Mrs. Judica E. Nagunwa, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. visited the High Commission of the Republic of Ghana in Abuja Nigeria to sign the condolence book, following the demise of H. E. Alhaji Rashid Bawa, High Commissioner of Ghana to Nigeria. May the soul of the late High Commissioner rest in eternal peace.

On 20th March 2024, the High Commission participated in a regular meeting of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Ambassadors' Group. The group brings together SADC Heads of Missions accredited to the Federal Republic of Nigeria with residence in Abuja to discuss matters of mutual interest to the SADC Member States.

The High Commission Receives The Delegation from LUBCON International

  Today, 14/03/2024, the High Commission was honoured to receive the delegation from LUBCON International, led by Mr. Suliaman Adoga Ibrahim, General Manager Business Development. LUBCON is an ISO certified Oil & Gas Company Headquartered in Ilorin, Nigeria, it is primarily involved downstream oil and gas, and has presence across 36 states of Nigeria, Ghana and Ethiopia. Discussions focused on the available opportunities in oil and gas sector in Tanzania which the company is looking to explore.

  The Tanzania delegation comprising of 104 sportsmen and women arrived Accra, Republic of Ghana on 6th March, 2024. The delegation led by Hon. Hamis Mwinjuma (MP), Deputy Minister of Culture, Arts and Sports, are in Ghana to participate in 13th African Games holding from 8th – 23rd March, 2024 in the cites of Accra and Cape Coast.

On 28th February 2024, the Mission was honoured to receive Ms. Martha Manki and Ms. Mariam Mashimba from Ministry of Health and Ms. Lydia Joseph from Ministry of Water. The three Tanzania Government officials were in Abuja, Nigeria to attend a benchmarking workshop on Water Sanitation and Clean Environment held on 28th and 29th February 2024, in Abuja Nigeria.
