  H. E. Dr. Benson Alfred Bana, High Commissioner of the United Republic of Tanzania to the Federal Republic of Nigeria, with concurrent accreditation to fourteen (14) other West Africa countries. Tanzania-Ghana Tourism, Investment and Trade Forum (TG-TITF) brought together tour operators, prospective investors, and international traders to engage in focused discussions geared at stimulating and promoting economic relationships between businesses in Tanzania and Ghana. Discussions were centered around opportunities and incentives for investing in Tanzania, trading in Tanzania products and exploring the diverse tourists' attractions available in Tanzania.  The hybrid event had both virtual and physical participants totaling about 80. P articipants include the President and members of national and regional  chambers of commerce of Ghana, Ghana Tourism Board,  importers and  exporters  association, President and members of the Tourism Union of Ghana, Dr. Ken Kwaku, Chairman Kwaku Grou

    The Tanzania-Ghana Tourism, Investment and Trade Forum (TG-TITF) which is organized by the Tanzania High Commission, Abuja, Nigeria, will be held on 28th May, 2022 in Accra, Ghana at Alisa Hotel, 21 Dr. Isert Road-North Ridge.The Forum with the theme,  “Taking Tanzania-Ghana Bilateral and Economic ties to Greater Heights” is broadly intended to bring together stakeholders in tourism, international trade and prospective investors to engage in focused and constructive dialogue geared at stimulating and promoting economic relationships between like-minded state and non-state organizations in both Tanzania and Ghana.

  Her Excellency, Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania, arrives Ghana for an official visit on 23rd May 2022. Among other engagements, she will participate in the 48th Annual General Meeting of the Board of Governors of the African Development Fund, ADF scheduled to hold on 23rd to 27th May, 2022, in Accra, Ghana. The ADF contributes to the promotion of economic and social development in 38 least developed African countries by providing concessional funding for projects and programs, as well as technical assistance for studies and capacity-building activities.it

  University of Ibadan, shows interest to collaborate with likeminded institutions of the United Republic of Tanzania in teaching Kiswahili Language, in line with the commemoration of 100 years of Mwl. Nyerere. This was during the courtesy visit by H. E. Dr Benson Alfred Bana to the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Professor Kayode O. Adebowale FAS, mni on 10th May 2022.  During the visit, His Excellency appreciated the recognition shown by the University of Ibadan to the late Mwalimu Julius Kambarage Nyerere by awarding him a Doctor of Law (Honoris Causa) in 1976. The VC in responding, among other things promised to collaborate with Universities of Tanzania in Teaching Kiswahili language.

His Excellency Dr. Benson Alfred Bana, visited the Hearts for Widows International on 9th May, 2022.

  Mrs Britt Schulze-Adesida is the Founder and Initiator of HEART for Widows International. The foundation is focused on developing self-empowerment programs to support widows. It was established in India in 2014 and currently has presence in several countries including USA, The Netherlands, Germany, Nigeria, Tanzania and Bulgaria. Over the years its activities have spread to several other African countries including Rwanda, Kenya, Lesotho, Seychelles, Uganda among others.

The United Republic of Tanzania Population and Housing Census scheduled for 23rd August 2022.

  The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania will conduct a Population and Housing Census on 23 rd August 2022.  Preparation of the Census is carried out in accordance with Statistics Act CHAPTER 351.   The inauguration for the 2022 Census took place on 22 nd May 2021 at the National Statistics Office Grounds located on Jakaya Kikwete Road near the Jakaya Kikwete Revolutionary Party Conference Center in Dodoma. Pre-launch event was giving strong media coverage on the National Television - TBC as well as on various social networks.   Her Excellency, Samia Suluhu Hassan inaugurated the 2022 Census logo on the 8 th April, 2022, see event at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-XOz_s3oYXc . All residents in the United Republic of Tanzania are encouraged to participate.

Promoting Teaching and Learning of Kiswahili Language through the Rapid Kiswahili Training Program organized for Postulants traveling to Arusha Tanzania for Spiritual Training.

  As part of H. E. Benson Alfred Bana, High Commissioner of the United Republic of Tanzania to Nigeria efforts in promoting teaching and learning of the Kiswahili language, Mr. Philbert Peter, Head of Economic Diplomacy Affairs (HEAD), on Monday, 2 nd May, 2022, represented His Excellency on a visit to Carmelite Missionaries in Karshi, for Rapid Kiswahili Program for five (5) Postulates who are expected to travel to Arusha Tanzania on 5th May 2022 for Spiritual Training. The Training, bringing together Postulates from Kenya, Malawi and Tanzania will be for a two-year period.
