FIDSON Healthcare PLC Undertakes a Business Mission to the United Republic of Tanzania.

The High Commission coordinated and facilitated the trade mission of FIDSON Healthcare PLC to Tanzania from 21st - 25th April 2024. While in Tanzania, FIDSON held strategic meetings with TIC, TMDA, MSD, and other important actors in the pharmaceutical sector. FIDSON is planning to invest in Tanzania in the near future.

        Representatives of CYID Nigeria led by Mr Aihwu Victor, Director, paid a courtesy visit on His Excellency, Dr. Benson Alfred Bana, High Commissioner of the United Republic of Tanzania at the Chancery today, 25 th August, 2022. Among other things, the focus of discussion was centered on : (i) promotion of Regular Pathways to Tanzania; (ii) Youth development programs for Tanzanian youths and (iii) promotion of Tanzania culture/heritage and tourist destinations. The Centre for Youths Integrated Development (CYID) is a non-profit organization, founded in Nigeria, in 2005. The CYID designs and carries out high-impact development training for youth, and practical interventions intended to generate new knowledge, best practices and effective means of tackling development problems.  

Tanzania Awarded Best Exhibitor In e-Marketing at 15th International Arts and Crafts Expo 2022

  Among other exhibitors who participated in the 15th International Arts and Crafts Expo 2022 which held in Abuja from 18 th – 20 th August, 2022, the National Council for Arts and Culture, present Tanzania with the BEST EXHIBITOR IN E-MARKETING award . During the event, Tanzania High Commission in Abuja, show cased the enormous opportunities that exist in the Tourism, Investment and Trade sectors of the United Republic of Tanzania, through display of Tanzania products, art and crafts, video clips, pictorial banners, brochures, etc.

SADC Ambassadors Group meets with KIMPACT Development Initiative (KDI) in Abuja, Nigeria on 24th August, 2022

H. E. Dr. Benson Alfred Bana, High Commissioner of the United Republic of Tanzania joined some of his colleagues from the SADC Ambassadors Group in a meeting with the leadership of Kimpact Development Initiative (KDI), a Nigerian non-governmental organization. KDI works on issues of policy advocacy, peace conflict and security, democracy, elections and governance.

Tanzania High Commission Abuja, on 18th August, 2022 got an opportunity to participate in the 15th Edition of International Arts and Crafts Expo, which took place at Sheraton Hotel, Abuja. The Mission showcased Tanzania Tourism attraction, Investment opportunities and Products. The Expo is an annual event organized by the National Council For Arts and Culture of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Tanzania High Commission was one of the 20 Embassies and High Commission that participated in this years event. The Council is head by a Director General, Otunba Olusegun Runsewe, OON. Mrs Obinyan Sylvester, Economic Affairs Officer Tanzania High Commission Abuja. Signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Tanzania Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (TCCIA) and the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI)

  The High Commission of the United Republic of Tanzania in Abuja, Nigeria, is pleased to announce that on 1 st August, 2022, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Tanzania Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (TCCIA) and the oldest Chamber in West Africa, the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), for the promotion of trade and business between Nigeria and Tanzania in line with the provisions of the AfCFTA. The process of signing the MoU has been midwifed by the Tanzania High Commission, Abuja under the able headship of His Excellency, Dr. Benson Alfred Bana, over several months with the first virtual meeting between the leadership of the Chambers held on 13 th October 2021, and several correspondences.   His Excellency, Dr. Benson Alfred Bana on 4th August, 2022 visited the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Plateau State, where he addressed participants of Senior Executive Course (SEC) 44, 2022. He gave a country brief particularly to the Study Group One which will be visiting United Republic of Tanzania for study tour from 7th - 14th August, 2022.  Participants were also given lessons on some basic Kiswahili words to aid their interactions in the United Republic of Tanzania.
