Etienying Akpanusong, Founder and Executive Director, Etiquette Africa Initiative (EAI) and Stephanie Omachonu, Executive Assistant and Project Coordinator at Etiquette Africa Initiative payed a courtesy call on His Excellency, Dr. Benson Alfred Bana, to explore possibility of the Mission facilitating links with like-minded organizations in the United Republic of Tanzania.

According to the Founder, Etiquette Africa Initiative was birthed to promote civility in Africa through etiquette and behavioural reorientation. As the majority focus on technology advancement, economic development and education, little attention is given to the moral, character or behavioural development that drives and will sustain the true African growth and its development that is desired. With a world where civility and manners are slowly going out of fashion, EAI aims to bring back and entrench these long held virtues that had set Africa apart as the preferred destination. EAI is employing tools like seminars and conferences, school training (with over 4,000 students reached in the Federal Capital Territory,  Nigeria) and “Streetiquette” (random street sampling of public opinion on civility while promoting the concept).

EAI seeks likeminded organizations in Tanzania that will collaborate to promote valuable etiquettes embedded in the culture of the people of the United Republic of Tanzania whilst encouraging its refinement, and to help promote civility across boarders.
