Tanzania Strengthens Strategic Investment Partnership with Dangote Group

As part of Tanzania's Strategic Investment Drive, a high-level Government delegation  led by Hon Kitila Mkumbo (MP) Minister for Investment and Planning undertook a visit to Lagos, Nigeria, from 5–7 August 2026. A key engagement was a meeting with Dangote Group leadership, led by Alhaji Aliko Dangote, reaffirming the shared commitment to strengthen Tanzania–Nigeria economic cooperation. Discussions focused on expanding investment across strategic sectors, advancing industrial development, and identifying new opportunities for mutually beneficial partnerships. This engagement reflects Tanzania's commitment to fostering a conducive investment environment while building strong partnerships that drive sustainable development, regional prosperity, and shared economic success.

Tanzania High Commission and Voice of Nigeria Finalize Operational Modalities for Kiswahili Training for VON Broadcasters

On 18th April, 2023, the Tanzania High Commission hosted a meeting with the Voice of Nigeria (VON) to finalize the operational modalities for the Kiswahili Training for VON Broadcasters. This Project is organised by the Mission in collaboration with VON and is aimed at supporting the VON Kiswahili Service, among other efforts.

The Project will further aid the execution of the MoU between the Voice of Nigeria and Tanzania Broadcasting Corporation (TBC).

Air Tanzania is Granted Foreign Carrier Operating Permit

  Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, a Government agency has granted a Foreign Carrier Operating Permit to Air Tanzania to commerce scheduled flights between Dar es Salaam and Accra. The commencement of direct flights between these two cities will ease connectivity and promote trade, investment and tourism activities.  This step marks another milestone of enhancing relations and cooperation between Tanzania and West Africa region.
