Tanzania Strengthens Strategic Investment Partnership with Dangote Group

As part of Tanzania's Strategic Investment Drive, a high-level Government delegation  led by Hon Kitila Mkumbo (MP) Minister for Investment and Planning undertook a visit to Lagos, Nigeria, from 5–7 August 2026. A key engagement was a meeting with Dangote Group leadership, led by Alhaji Aliko Dangote, reaffirming the shared commitment to strengthen Tanzania–Nigeria economic cooperation. Discussions focused on expanding investment across strategic sectors, advancing industrial development, and identifying new opportunities for mutually beneficial partnerships. This engagement reflects Tanzania's commitment to fostering a conducive investment environment while building strong partnerships that drive sustainable development, regional prosperity, and shared economic success.

Study Tour by Kano State (Nigeria) Health Insurance Agency to the Tanzania National Health Insurance Fund

 

The Tanzania High Commission, Abuja - Nigeria has facilitated the visit of the first batch of staff of the Kano State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (KSCHMA)  to undertake a study tour with the Tanzania National Health Insurance Fund, in Dodoma, Tanzania from 8th to 10th June, 2021. 

This is another platform for knowledge exchange geared toward improving existing bilateral relations between the United Republic of Tanzania and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

  Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, a Government agency has granted a Foreign Carrier Operating Permit to Air Tanzania to commerce scheduled flights between Dar es Salaam and Accra. The commencement of direct flights between these two cities will ease connectivity and promote trade, investment and tourism activities.  This step marks another milestone of enhancing relations and cooperation between Tanzania and West Africa region.
