Tanzania Strengthens Strategic Investment Partnership with Dangote Group

As part of Tanzania's Strategic Investment Drive, a high-level Government delegation  led by Hon Kitila Mkumbo (MP) Minister for Investment and Planning undertook a visit to Lagos, Nigeria, from 5–7 August 2026. A key engagement was a meeting with Dangote Group leadership, led by Alhaji Aliko Dangote, reaffirming the shared commitment to strengthen Tanzania–Nigeria economic cooperation. Discussions focused on expanding investment across strategic sectors, advancing industrial development, and identifying new opportunities for mutually beneficial partnerships. This engagement reflects Tanzania's commitment to fostering a conducive investment environment while building strong partnerships that drive sustainable development, regional prosperity, and shared economic success.

Nigeria’s Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo paid visit to the African Court of Justice and Human Rights (ACJHR) in Arusha, Tanzania.

 

On 2nd September 2021, Nigeria’s Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo departed from Abuja to Arusha, the northeastern region of the United Republic of Tanzania, on a short visit.

Among other engagements, while in Arusha, Prof. Osinbajo paid visit to the African Court of Justice and Human Rights (ACJHR), an African Union agency Headquarter in Arusha.

Nigeria and Tanzania, have maintained cordial trade and diplomatic relations on brotherly hood bases built since the two countries gained independence.
