On 22nd of April, 2026 the TBA delegation also met with the Abuja Investment Company Limited, discussions focused on Public-Private Partnership (PPP) models for infrastructure financing, culminating in a site visit to the Garki Ultra-Modern Market a practical example of successful PPP implementation. This visit provided valuable, hands-on insights aligned with TBA’s mandate, further strengthening knowledge exchange and cooperation between Tanzania and Nigeria.

The 21st September, 2021 saw a critical step forward in the effort of the High Commissioner to further strengthen existing bilateral relations between the United Republic of Tanzania and the Federal Republic of Nigeria, through the linking of the media in both countries. On this day, the Tanzania Broadcasting Corporation (TBC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Voice of Nigeria (VON) for cooperation on content exchange, news exchange and staff exchange among other things.  The Director General of TBC, Dr Ayub Rioba Chacha and the Director General of VON, Mr Osita Okechukwu signed the MoU at an event that took place at the Headquarters of the Voice of Nigeria, Abuja in the presence of senior officials of the both organizations as well as the High Commissioner of Tanzania, H. E. Dr Benson Alfred Bana and his delegation. Members of the press were also on ground to capture the moment.

  Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, a Government agency has granted a Foreign Carrier Operating Permit to Air Tanzania to commerce scheduled flights between Dar es Salaam and Accra. The commencement of direct flights between these two cities will ease connectivity and promote trade, investment and tourism activities.  This step marks another milestone of enhancing relations and cooperation between Tanzania and West Africa region.
