The Mission Received Mr Leonard Bernard Mkude (CPA) Accountant General

  On 28th May 2025, The  High Commission in Abuja was honored to welcome Mr Leonard Bernard Mkude (CPA) Accountant General, Ministry of Finance of the United Republic of Tanzania.  The Accountant General is in Abuja, for an  Official Visit that aims, among other things, to Equip the Mission with tools to Engage Financial Services Stakeholders in the area of accreditation.

Chief Emeka Anyaoku, GCVO, CFR, CON and H. E. Dr. Benson Alfred Bana

Chief Emeka Anyaoku, GCVO, CFR, CON was Nigeria’s Permanent Representative, United Nations (UN); Minister for Foreign Affairs, Deputy Secretary-General Commonwealth, and Secretary General (1990-2000) of the Commonwealth Secretariat, London. He was the first African Secretary-General and the third 3rd Secretary-General of Commonwealth.

He helped resolve the 1995 post-election conflict in Zanzibar. Ardent supporter of Mwalimu Julius Kambarage  Nyerere’s political philosophy, and friend of the late Benjamin William Mkapa, John Samuel Malecela , Joseph WButiku , Salim Ahmed Salim and Anthony Nyakyi.

His Excellency’s discussion with Chief Anyaoku focused on the current state of politics in Tanzania, in the commonwealth family, contemporary global issues in international relations space, modern diplomacy, etc.  The High Commissioner’s visit on Chief Anyaoku was made in Lagos, Nigeria on 14th October, 2021.
