Tanzania Strengthens Strategic Investment Partnership with Dangote Group

As part of Tanzania's Strategic Investment Drive, a high-level Government delegation  led by Hon Kitila Mkumbo (MP) Minister for Investment and Planning undertook a visit to Lagos, Nigeria, from 5–7 August 2026. A key engagement was a meeting with Dangote Group leadership, led by Alhaji Aliko Dangote, reaffirming the shared commitment to strengthen Tanzania–Nigeria economic cooperation. Discussions focused on expanding investment across strategic sectors, advancing industrial development, and identifying new opportunities for mutually beneficial partnerships. This engagement reflects Tanzania's commitment to fostering a conducive investment environment while building strong partnerships that drive sustainable development, regional prosperity, and shared economic success.

The President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Her Excellency Samia Suluhu Hassan, in talks with the Chairman of United Bank for Africa (UBA), Dr. Tony Elumelu, at the State House in Dar es Salaam on 17th November, 2021. Among other things, during the deliberations, Dr. Elumelu commended on the Tanzania investment environment which makes UBA evidence the growth and prosperity.
