Cultural Diplomacy and pushing the Kiswahili language further into limelight in West Africa has been one of the key agenda's of His Excellency, Dr. Benson Alfred Bana, he finds new ways to expose West African citizens to the culture. On 25th January, 2021 he met with the Founder and organizer of the Kaduna International Film Festival (KIFF)to facilitate the linking of KIFF with counterpart organizations in the United Republic of Tanzania for cooperation and youth advancement through the exploring of the abundant opportunities and talents within the creative industries of both countries.
Mr Israel Audu, Founder of KIFF was accompanied by Ms Zainab Ahmed, Festival Director and Administrator, as well as Mr Mohammed Shanguli, Aide and Support of the Founder. The previous edition of the KIFF has presented film screening from 9 countries across Africa and Europe. It is intended that the 2022 KIFF would have the participation of Swahili movies and veteran actors from Tanzania. KIFF is currently working in partnership with various countries like the United Kingdom (UK), Turkey, India, Hungary etc, through theire various Embassies and High Commissions. The festival is also partnering with CANON a well known brand in the still and motion pictures equipment, according to Mr Israel.
