On 22nd of April, 2026 the TBA delegation also met with the Abuja Investment Company Limited, discussions focused on Public-Private Partnership (PPP) models for infrastructure financing, culminating in a site visit to the Garki Ultra-Modern Market a practical example of successful PPP implementation. This visit provided valuable, hands-on insights aligned with TBA’s mandate, further strengthening knowledge exchange and cooperation between Tanzania and Nigeria.

H. E. Dr Benson Alfred Bana, High Commissioner meets Professor Magnus Lekara Kpakol, Chairman/CEO of the Economic Growth and Development Centre (EGDC)

 


Professor Magnus Lekara Kpakol, Chairman/CEO of the Economic Growth and Development Centre (EGDC) paid a courtesy call on His Excellency, Dr. Benson Alfred Bana, the High Commissioner of the United Republic of Tanzania to Nigeria on 17th February, 2022. The visit was intended to inform His Excellency of the planned project of the EGDC in conjunction with the University of Texas aimed at providing a platform for interested companies and relevant stakeholders in business sectors across Africa to develop global partnerships for the advancement of Africa’s human capacity and reposition the continent for self-driven growth and sustainable development.

The Africa Forum, Global Partnerships and study tours is expected to deliver to Africa an improved global competitiveness. EGDC is seeking the facilitation of the High Commission to mobilize the participation of interested entrepreneurs, companies and other stakeholders including policy makers from the United Republic of Tanzania at the Forum

  Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, a Government agency has granted a Foreign Carrier Operating Permit to Air Tanzania to commerce scheduled flights between Dar es Salaam and Accra. The commencement of direct flights between these two cities will ease connectivity and promote trade, investment and tourism activities.  This step marks another milestone of enhancing relations and cooperation between Tanzania and West Africa region.
