Tanzania Strengthens Strategic Investment Partnership with Dangote Group

As part of Tanzania's Strategic Investment Drive, a high-level Government delegation  led by Hon Kitila Mkumbo (MP) Minister for Investment and Planning undertook a visit to Lagos, Nigeria, from 5–7 August 2026. A key engagement was a meeting with Dangote Group leadership, led by Alhaji Aliko Dangote, reaffirming the shared commitment to strengthen Tanzania–Nigeria economic cooperation. Discussions focused on expanding investment across strategic sectors, advancing industrial development, and identifying new opportunities for mutually beneficial partnerships. This engagement reflects Tanzania's commitment to fostering a conducive investment environment while building strong partnerships that drive sustainable development, regional prosperity, and shared economic success.

PAN-AFRICAN CLUB of AGGS PAYS A COURTESY CALL ON H. E. DR. BENSON ALFRED BANA, HIGH COMMISSIONER OF THE UNITED REPUBLIC OF TANZANIA TO NIGERIA


The Pan-African Club of Anglican Girls Grammar School (AGGS), paid a courtesy call on His Excellency, Dr. Benson Alfred Bana, the High Commissioner of the United Republic of Tanzania to Nigeria, on 18th February, 2022. The educational visit is part of their orientation about working in the African Diplomatic Corps.

The Pan-African Club is the brain child of Africa Vision 525 Initiative a not-for-profit NGO which trains simulations of the Assembly of the African Union. The Pan-African Club (PAC) has since 2004 held research base simulations of an Assembly of the African Union.  PAC is made up of volunteer student in their final year of secondary school, who by participating in the club are expected to acquire skills for gathering relevant information required for policy formulation and building skills for public speaking and other leadership skills.

Air Tanzania is Granted Foreign Carrier Operating Permit

  Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, a Government agency has granted a Foreign Carrier Operating Permit to Air Tanzania to commerce scheduled flights between Dar es Salaam and Accra. The commencement of direct flights between these two cities will ease connectivity and promote trade, investment and tourism activities.  This step marks another milestone of enhancing relations and cooperation between Tanzania and West Africa region.
