On 22nd of April, 2026 the TBA delegation also met with the Abuja Investment Company Limited, discussions focused on Public-Private Partnership (PPP) models for infrastructure financing, culminating in a site visit to the Garki Ultra-Modern Market a practical example of successful PPP implementation. This visit provided valuable, hands-on insights aligned with TBA’s mandate, further strengthening knowledge exchange and cooperation between Tanzania and Nigeria.

Meeting between H. E. Dr. Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete and H. E. Macky Sall, President of the Republic of Senegal


On the 22nd March, 2022, H. E. Dr. Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, Former President of the United Republic of Tanzania and Chairman of the Board of Global Water Partnership Southern Africa-Africa Coordination Unit (GWPSA-ACU) had a meeting with H. E. Macky Sall, President of the Republic of Senegal at the State House. From left is Ms. Anna Mghamba from Tanzania High Commission-Abuja, H. E. Dr. Jakaya Kikwete, H. E.   Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, a Government agency has granted a Foreign Carrier Operating Permit to Air Tanzania to commerce scheduled flights between Dar es Salaam and Accra. The commencement of direct flights between these two cities will ease connectivity and promote trade, investment and tourism activities.  This step marks another milestone of enhancing relations and cooperation between Tanzania and West Africa region.
