The United Republic of Tanzania Relaxes COVID-19 Travel Protocols.



On March 16, 2022, Tanzania celebrated two full years since the first case of COVID-19 in the country. The Minister of Health, Ummy Mwalimu while giving a brief on the state of the disease for the last two years, said, given the current state of COVID-19 infection in the country and the prevalence of the disease in the world, the Government is relaxing conditions for travelers entering the country who have completed a dose of COVID-19 vaccine starting from 17th March, 2022.

Although, "COVID 19 is still in the country and the world, vaccination is the sure way of preventing and counteracting the disease. She therefore urged Citizens to vaccinate" She Further informed that travelers entering the country and who have been vaccinated against COVID 19 will no more require from March 17, 2022 a Negative RT - PCR Certificate before arrival in Tanzania (Mainland), WELCOME TO TANZANIA"
