H. E. Dr. Benson Alfred Bana, High Commission of the United Republic of Tanzania to Nigeria received Mrs. Conny Kealeboga-Nkanga, Deputy High Commissioner of Botswana to Nigeria on a familiarization visit at the High Commission on 19th April, 2022 . The purpose of the visit was to further concretize the relationship, friendship and co-operation between the two Missions.

The High Commission successfully coordinated the visit to Abuja Nigeria by Gen. Jacob John Mkunda, Tanzania’s Chief of Defense Forces, to attend the First African Chiefs of Defence Staff Meeting held from 25 to 27 August 2025 in Abuja. The meeting was under the theme 'Combating Contemporary Threats to Regional Peace and Security in Africa' and attended by 37 Defence Chiefs from African countries.
