Tanzania Strengthens Strategic Investment Partnership with Dangote Group

As part of Tanzania's Strategic Investment Drive, a high-level Government delegation  led by Hon Kitila Mkumbo (MP) Minister for Investment and Planning undertook a visit to Lagos, Nigeria, from 5–7 August 2026. A key engagement was a meeting with Dangote Group leadership, led by Alhaji Aliko Dangote, reaffirming the shared commitment to strengthen Tanzania–Nigeria economic cooperation. Discussions focused on expanding investment across strategic sectors, advancing industrial development, and identifying new opportunities for mutually beneficial partnerships. This engagement reflects Tanzania's commitment to fostering a conducive investment environment while building strong partnerships that drive sustainable development, regional prosperity, and shared economic success.

His Excellency, Dr. Benson Alfred Bana's visit to the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Plateau State, Nigeria

 


His Excellency, Dr. Benson Alfred Bana on 4th August, 2022 visited the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Plateau State, where he addressed participants of Senior Executive Course (SEC) 44, 2022. He gave a country brief particularly to the Study Group One which will be visiting United Republic of Tanzania for study tour from 7th - 14th August, 2022. Participants were also given lessons on some basic Kiswahili words to aid their interactions in the United Republic of Tanzania.

  Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, a Government agency has granted a Foreign Carrier Operating Permit to Air Tanzania to commerce scheduled flights between Dar es Salaam and Accra. The commencement of direct flights between these two cities will ease connectivity and promote trade, investment and tourism activities.  This step marks another milestone of enhancing relations and cooperation between Tanzania and West Africa region.
