The High Commission successfully coordinated the visit to Abuja Nigeria by Gen. Jacob John Mkunda, Tanzania’s Chief of Defense Forces, to attend the First African Chiefs of Defence Staff Meeting held from 25 to 27 August 2025 in Abuja. The meeting was under the theme 'Combating Contemporary Threats to Regional Peace and Security in Africa' and attended by 37 Defence Chiefs from African countries.

His Excellency, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria was with Her Excellency, Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania at the official reception for the State Funeral of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.
