Tanzania Strengthens Strategic Investment Partnership with Dangote Group

As part of Tanzania's Strategic Investment Drive, a high-level Government delegation  led by Hon Kitila Mkumbo (MP) Minister for Investment and Planning undertook a visit to Lagos, Nigeria, from 5–7 August 2026. A key engagement was a meeting with Dangote Group leadership, led by Alhaji Aliko Dangote, reaffirming the shared commitment to strengthen Tanzania–Nigeria economic cooperation. Discussions focused on expanding investment across strategic sectors, advancing industrial development, and identifying new opportunities for mutually beneficial partnerships. This engagement reflects Tanzania's commitment to fostering a conducive investment environment while building strong partnerships that drive sustainable development, regional prosperity, and shared economic success.

Her Excellency, Samia Suluhu Hassan Wins The Prestigious SDG Presidential Gold Award



The International Association of World Peace Advocates (IAWPA) has announced H. E. Samia Suluhu Hassan as the winner of the 2022 SDG Presidential Gold Award. Her Excellency is being celebrated for her outstanding display of political wisdom in running an inclusive government and assuring peace and stability in the United Republic of Tanzania. Under her able leadership, Tanzania is now in the league of fastest developing countries on the continent.

IAWPA is a global non-governmental organization affiliated to the United Nations Global Compact. Its objective is to promote peace and harmony in various local communities across the globe and to ensure that the aims and objectives of the United Nations in the maintenance of global peace is being achieved.
