Tanzanian High Commissioner Hosts ACCI Deputy President to Advance Tanzania–Nigeria Trade and Investment Cooperation.

On 2 June 2026, The Tanzania High Commissioner to Nigeria H. E. Selestine Gervas Kakele welcomed Prof. Adesoji Adesugba, the Deputy President of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) at Tanzania House Abuja. During the Meeting H.E Kakele and Prof Adesugba focused on exploring opportunities to further strengthen the existing bilateral relations between Tanzania and Nigeria, particularly in the areas of trade, investment, commerce, and private sector collaboration. With the upcoming ACCI trade mission to Tanzania in August 2026, discussions highlighted the importance of fostering business-to-business engagements, and creating new avenues for mutual growth and prosperity between the two countries Private Sectors.

AfDB President wins the 2022 Man of the Year (Africa) by EMY Africa Awards

H. E. Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, President AfDB

We celebrate AfDB President, Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, for being named 2022 Man of the Year (Africa) by EMY Africa Awards on 4th October, 2022. 

He receives this award for his visionary leadership as the President of the AfDB Group and for his outstanding contributions to Africa as Nigeria's Minister of Agriculture from 2011-2015.


AfDB Ghana Country Manager Eyerusalem Fasika receives the award on behalf of Dr. Akinwumi Adesina.

Air Tanzania is Granted Foreign Carrier Operating Permit

  Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, a Government agency has granted a Foreign Carrier Operating Permit to Air Tanzania to commerce scheduled flights between Dar es Salaam and Accra. The commencement of direct flights between these two cities will ease connectivity and promote trade, investment and tourism activities.  This step marks another milestone of enhancing relations and cooperation between Tanzania and West Africa region.
