Tanzanian High Commissioner Hosts ACCI Deputy President to Advance Tanzania–Nigeria Trade and Investment Cooperation.

On 2 June 2026, The Tanzania High Commissioner to Nigeria H. E. Selestine Gervas Kakele welcomed Prof. Adesoji Adesugba, the Deputy President of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) at Tanzania House Abuja. During the Meeting H.E Kakele and Prof Adesugba focused on exploring opportunities to further strengthen the existing bilateral relations between Tanzania and Nigeria, particularly in the areas of trade, investment, commerce, and private sector collaboration. With the upcoming ACCI trade mission to Tanzania in August 2026, discussions highlighted the importance of fostering business-to-business engagements, and creating new avenues for mutual growth and prosperity between the two countries Private Sectors.

H. E. Amb. Dr. Benson Alfred Bana, Was Special Guest at the 50th AGM of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN)


On Tuesday 18th October, 2022,  Amb. Dr. Benson Alfred Bana, High Commissioner of the United Republic of Tanzania to the Federal Republic of Nigeria was special guest at the 50th AGM of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) in Lagos.


Alhaji Aliko Dangote, GCON, President and CEO Dangote Industries Ltd, delivered a lecture on ”Agenda Setting for Industrializing Nigeria in the Next Decade.” The High Commissioner seized the opportunity to invite captains of industries in Nigeria and West African countries to invest in Tanzania, illuminating opportunities and incentives provided by the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania and the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar.

  Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, a Government agency has granted a Foreign Carrier Operating Permit to Air Tanzania to commerce scheduled flights between Dar es Salaam and Accra. The commencement of direct flights between these two cities will ease connectivity and promote trade, investment and tourism activities.  This step marks another milestone of enhancing relations and cooperation between Tanzania and West Africa region.
