Tanzanian High Commissioner Hosts ACCI Deputy President to Advance Tanzania–Nigeria Trade and Investment Cooperation.

On 2 June 2026, The Tanzania High Commissioner to Nigeria H. E. Selestine Gervas Kakele welcomed Prof. Adesoji Adesugba, the Deputy President of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) at Tanzania House Abuja. During the Meeting H.E Kakele and Prof Adesugba focused on exploring opportunities to further strengthen the existing bilateral relations between Tanzania and Nigeria, particularly in the areas of trade, investment, commerce, and private sector collaboration. With the upcoming ACCI trade mission to Tanzania in August 2026, discussions highlighted the importance of fostering business-to-business engagements, and creating new avenues for mutual growth and prosperity between the two countries Private Sectors.

Air Tanzania Connecting East and West Africa: Dar es Salaam-Lagos flight in view


Once more, the Tanzania High Commission in Abuja, Nigeria, applauds, in advance, the decision of Air Tanzania management, particularly Eng. Ladislaus Matindi, Managing Director and Chief Executive, for their resolve to consider, initially, introducing direct flights from Dar es Salaam into Lagos, West Africa as shown in the Inflight Magazine, Issue 15, October-December. 2022. The High Commission can’t wait receiving the maiden flight in Lagos at an appropriate time.


The new route will catalyze Tanzania’s economic diplomacy strategy and, consequently, take Tanzania and Nigeria bilateral ties to greater heights.

Air Tanzania is Granted Foreign Carrier Operating Permit

  Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, a Government agency has granted a Foreign Carrier Operating Permit to Air Tanzania to commerce scheduled flights between Dar es Salaam and Accra. The commencement of direct flights between these two cities will ease connectivity and promote trade, investment and tourism activities.  This step marks another milestone of enhancing relations and cooperation between Tanzania and West Africa region.
