Tanzanian High Commissioner Hosts ACCI Deputy President to Advance Tanzania–Nigeria Trade and Investment Cooperation.

On 2 June 2026, The Tanzania High Commissioner to Nigeria H. E. Selestine Gervas Kakele welcomed Prof. Adesoji Adesugba, the Deputy President of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) at Tanzania House Abuja. During the Meeting H.E Kakele and Prof Adesugba focused on exploring opportunities to further strengthen the existing bilateral relations between Tanzania and Nigeria, particularly in the areas of trade, investment, commerce, and private sector collaboration. With the upcoming ACCI trade mission to Tanzania in August 2026, discussions highlighted the importance of fostering business-to-business engagements, and creating new avenues for mutual growth and prosperity between the two countries Private Sectors.

Her Excellency The President meets 45 Tanzanian Ambassadors To Discuss the “New Direction in Enhancing Economic Diplomacy.”

 

Tanzania Ambassadors and the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation (MoFAEAC), Tanzania.

H. E. Amb. Dr. Benson Bana, High Commissioner of Tanzania to Nigeria joined other Ambassadors representing Tanzania in 45 countries for a meeting themed “New Direction in Enhancing Economic Diplomacy.”

The 14th -21st Nov, 2022 meeting taking place in Zanzibar is intended, among other issues to provide a platform for the diplomats to share knowledge and experience on the means and ways of implementing Tanzania’s foreign policy that focuses on economic diplomacy.

Her Excellency Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania, and H. E. Dr. Hussein Mwinyi, President of Zanzibar and Chairman of the Revolutionary Council, will address the Ambassadors. The Envoys will also visit various tourist destinations and strategic investment projects in Zanzibar.

Air Tanzania is Granted Foreign Carrier Operating Permit

  Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, a Government agency has granted a Foreign Carrier Operating Permit to Air Tanzania to commerce scheduled flights between Dar es Salaam and Accra. The commencement of direct flights between these two cities will ease connectivity and promote trade, investment and tourism activities.  This step marks another milestone of enhancing relations and cooperation between Tanzania and West Africa region.
