On the margins of the Tanzania–Nigeria Trade & Investment Forum in Lagos, the Tanzania Building Agency met with the  President of the Real Estate Developers Association (REDAN) and Quantum Agency Ltd, and toured innovative real estate projects to explore collaboration and investment opportunities in the sector.

Zanzibar is Open: You Are Welcome to Invest!


His Excellency, Dr. Hussein Ali Mwinyi. President of Zanzibar and Chairman of the Revolutionary Council welcomes and assures investors and business people of an enabling environment in Zanzibar. He also promises improved services at Zanzibar Investment Promotion Authority (ZIPA), Zanzibar’s one stop investment centre. Explaining that related investment permits are now issued within three days, and the centre would be further improved to deliver permits within 24 hours. According to His Excellency, “all issues regarding investment and business establishment should be dealt with within as short a time as possible."

  Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, a Government agency has granted a Foreign Carrier Operating Permit to Air Tanzania to commerce scheduled flights between Dar es Salaam and Accra. The commencement of direct flights between these two cities will ease connectivity and promote trade, investment and tourism activities.  This step marks another milestone of enhancing relations and cooperation between Tanzania and West Africa region.
