Tanzania Strengthens Strategic Investment Partnership with Dangote Group

As part of Tanzania's Strategic Investment Drive, a high-level Government delegation  led by Hon Kitila Mkumbo (MP) Minister for Investment and Planning undertook a visit to Lagos, Nigeria, from 5–7 August 2026. A key engagement was a meeting with Dangote Group leadership, led by Alhaji Aliko Dangote, reaffirming the shared commitment to strengthen Tanzania–Nigeria economic cooperation. Discussions focused on expanding investment across strategic sectors, advancing industrial development, and identifying new opportunities for mutually beneficial partnerships. This engagement reflects Tanzania's commitment to fostering a conducive investment environment while building strong partnerships that drive sustainable development, regional prosperity, and shared economic success.

Today, 13th December, 2022, H. E. Dr. Benson Alfred Bana, High Commissioner of the United Republic of Tanzania to the Federal Republic of Nigeria was received by the Vice Chancellor of the University of Abuja, Nigeria, Professor Abdul-Rasheed Na’Allah and the Leadership of the University on his visit to explore the possibility of linking the University of Abuja with State University of Zanzibar, Tanzania. Conversations centred among other things on introducing Kiswahili study into the curricular of the University of Abuja and staff exchange programme.
