Tanzania Strengthens Strategic Investment Partnership with Dangote Group

As part of Tanzania's Strategic Investment Drive, a high-level Government delegation  led by Hon Kitila Mkumbo (MP) Minister for Investment and Planning undertook a visit to Lagos, Nigeria, from 5–7 August 2026. A key engagement was a meeting with Dangote Group leadership, led by Alhaji Aliko Dangote, reaffirming the shared commitment to strengthen Tanzania–Nigeria economic cooperation. Discussions focused on expanding investment across strategic sectors, advancing industrial development, and identifying new opportunities for mutually beneficial partnerships. This engagement reflects Tanzania's commitment to fostering a conducive investment environment while building strong partnerships that drive sustainable development, regional prosperity, and shared economic success.

On Wednesday, 11th January 2023, members of the diplomatic corps in Tanzania were invited to the briefing by Hon. Dr. Stergomena Tax, Minister for Foreign Affairs and East Africa Cooperation. On Friday 13 January they attended the Sherry Party hosted by H. E. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania.
