Tanzania Strengthens Strategic Investment Partnership with Dangote Group

As part of Tanzania's Strategic Investment Drive, a high-level Government delegation  led by Hon Kitila Mkumbo (MP) Minister for Investment and Planning undertook a visit to Lagos, Nigeria, from 5–7 August 2026. A key engagement was a meeting with Dangote Group leadership, led by Alhaji Aliko Dangote, reaffirming the shared commitment to strengthen Tanzania–Nigeria economic cooperation. Discussions focused on expanding investment across strategic sectors, advancing industrial development, and identifying new opportunities for mutually beneficial partnerships. This engagement reflects Tanzania's commitment to fostering a conducive investment environment while building strong partnerships that drive sustainable development, regional prosperity, and shared economic success.

On sidelines of the African Union Summit, H. E. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan held a meeting with H. E. Hakainde Hichilema, President of Zambia. Discussions centered on trade facilitation and energy investment between Tanzania and Zambia, with TAZAMA top of the agenda. The leaders committed to their countries continuing to work together for the mutual benefit of their citizens.
