On 22nd of April, 2026 the TBA delegation also met with the Abuja Investment Company Limited, discussions focused on Public-Private Partnership (PPP) models for infrastructure financing, culminating in a site visit to the Garki Ultra-Modern Market a practical example of successful PPP implementation. This visit provided valuable, hands-on insights aligned with TBA’s mandate, further strengthening knowledge exchange and cooperation between Tanzania and Nigeria.

H. E. Jakaya M. Kikwete the New Chair of the Africa Food Prize



Former President of the United Republic of Tanzania H. E. Jakaya M. Kikwete has been announced new Chair of the Africa Food Prize on Friday, 17th February, 2023 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, succeeding former Nigerian President General Olusegun Obasanjo, who served as Chairman since 2016.

  Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, a Government agency has granted a Foreign Carrier Operating Permit to Air Tanzania to commerce scheduled flights between Dar es Salaam and Accra. The commencement of direct flights between these two cities will ease connectivity and promote trade, investment and tourism activities.  This step marks another milestone of enhancing relations and cooperation between Tanzania and West Africa region.
