The High Commission successfully coordinated the visit to Abuja Nigeria by Gen. Jacob John Mkunda, Tanzania’s Chief of Defense Forces, to attend the First African Chiefs of Defence Staff Meeting held from 25 to 27 August 2025 in Abuja. The meeting was under the theme 'Combating Contemporary Threats to Regional Peace and Security in Africa' and attended by 37 Defence Chiefs from African countries.

In June 2022, Dr. Benson A Bana, High Commissioner of Tanzania to Nigeria with concurrent accreditation to Ghana was honoured to meet with the Chief Executive Officers of Air Tanzania Company Limited (ATCL), Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS) and Tanzania Railway Corporation (TRC).
