Air Tanzania Cargo Flight Changing the Cargo Aviation Landscape in Africa


Air Tanzania is blazing the trail again, the airline is scheduled to take delivery of its first freighter and become the first production 767-300F operator in Africa. The brand-new unit 67788 was seen on 19th March, 2023, conducting its first test flight from Boeing’s factory at Paine Field (PAE).

The Boeing 767 is an American wide-body aircraft developed and manufactured by Boeing Commercial Airplanes.

  Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, a Government agency has granted a Foreign Carrier Operating Permit to Air Tanzania to commerce scheduled flights between Dar es Salaam and Accra. The commencement of direct flights between these two cities will ease connectivity and promote trade, investment and tourism activities.  This step marks another milestone of enhancing relations and cooperation between Tanzania and West Africa region.
