Tanzania Strengthens Strategic Investment Partnership with Dangote Group

As part of Tanzania's Strategic Investment Drive, a high-level Government delegation  led by Hon Kitila Mkumbo (MP) Minister for Investment and Planning undertook a visit to Lagos, Nigeria, from 5–7 August 2026. A key engagement was a meeting with Dangote Group leadership, led by Alhaji Aliko Dangote, reaffirming the shared commitment to strengthen Tanzania–Nigeria economic cooperation. Discussions focused on expanding investment across strategic sectors, advancing industrial development, and identifying new opportunities for mutually beneficial partnerships. This engagement reflects Tanzania's commitment to fostering a conducive investment environment while building strong partnerships that drive sustainable development, regional prosperity, and shared economic success.

Second Anniversary of Transition to Glory of the 5th President of the United Republic of Tanzania


The High Commission joins H. E. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania, and all Tanzanians in commemorating the passing on (17/03/2021) of Dr. John Pombe Magufuli (RIP), the 5th President of the United Republic of Tanzania. The late President will be remembered for his outstanding transformational leadership, patriotism and pro-people vision and policies. We will continue to honour his legacy.  May his soul continue to rest in eternal peace.

  Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, a Government agency has granted a Foreign Carrier Operating Permit to Air Tanzania to commerce scheduled flights between Dar es Salaam and Accra. The commencement of direct flights between these two cities will ease connectivity and promote trade, investment and tourism activities.  This step marks another milestone of enhancing relations and cooperation between Tanzania and West Africa region.
