Tanzanian High Commissioner Hosts ACCI Deputy President to Advance Tanzania–Nigeria Trade and Investment Cooperation.

On 2 June 2026, The Tanzania High Commissioner to Nigeria H. E. Selestine Gervas Kakele welcomed Prof. Adesoji Adesugba, the Deputy President of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) at Tanzania House Abuja. During the Meeting H.E Kakele and Prof Adesugba focused on exploring opportunities to further strengthen the existing bilateral relations between Tanzania and Nigeria, particularly in the areas of trade, investment, commerce, and private sector collaboration. With the upcoming ACCI trade mission to Tanzania in August 2026, discussions highlighted the importance of fostering business-to-business engagements, and creating new avenues for mutual growth and prosperity between the two countries Private Sectors.

Tanzania President Expands Economy from $69.7billion to $85.42billion in less than 3 years!


Tanzania to overtake as East Africa's largest economy in 10 years! Tanzania's economy, now stands at $85.42 billion (Sh200 trillion) and is projected to grow into a $136 billion economy by 2028, according to the IMF. Comparatively, Tanzania has a more diverse economy and is seen as less risky relative to a single commodity economy of the current largest in the sub-region.  

The United Republic of Tanzania under the leadership of Her Excellency, Dr.  Samia Suluhu Hassan has implemented policies that have transformed the country's economy, resulting in impressive GDP growth from $69.7 billion in 2021 to $85.42 billion in 2023. Her Excellency has achieved this through deliberate strategic reforms which includes modernizing the agricultural sector, implementing trade liberalization policies, advancing tourism by showcasing national touristic gems, through “Tanzania: The Royal Tour” documentary, increasing access to finance for small businesses, and prioritizing educational reforms to address gender disparities in education and the labor force. Tanzania is the investment hub to watch out for!
