Tanzania Strengthens Strategic Investment Partnership with Dangote Group

As part of Tanzania's Strategic Investment Drive, a high-level Government delegation  led by Hon Kitila Mkumbo (MP) Minister for Investment and Planning undertook a visit to Lagos, Nigeria, from 5–7 August 2026. A key engagement was a meeting with Dangote Group leadership, led by Alhaji Aliko Dangote, reaffirming the shared commitment to strengthen Tanzania–Nigeria economic cooperation. Discussions focused on expanding investment across strategic sectors, advancing industrial development, and identifying new opportunities for mutually beneficial partnerships. This engagement reflects Tanzania's commitment to fostering a conducive investment environment while building strong partnerships that drive sustainable development, regional prosperity, and shared economic success.

Tanzania’s Boeing 767-300f Cargo Plane is ready for its Maiden Trip to Tanzania.



On 1st June 2023, the Boeing Company handed over a Boeing 767-300F cargo plane to the Tanzania Government Aircraft Agency (TGFA). The event took place at the Boeing's plant in Seattle, USA, and was attended by the Ambassador of Tanzania to the United States H. E. Elsie Sia Kanza; Chief Executive of ATCL Engineer Ladislaus Matindi and Acting Chief Executive of TGFA Capt. William Budodi.

H. E. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania will receive the new state-of-the-art aircraft on 03/06/2023 at the Julius Nyerere International Airport, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The first in Africa freighter, will be operated by Air Tanzania Corporation Ltd (ATCL) and will boost cargo services on the continent.
