Tanzania Strengthens Strategic Investment Partnership with Dangote Group

As part of Tanzania's Strategic Investment Drive, a high-level Government delegation  led by Hon Kitila Mkumbo (MP) Minister for Investment and Planning undertook a visit to Lagos, Nigeria, from 5–7 August 2026. A key engagement was a meeting with Dangote Group leadership, led by Alhaji Aliko Dangote, reaffirming the shared commitment to strengthen Tanzania–Nigeria economic cooperation. Discussions focused on expanding investment across strategic sectors, advancing industrial development, and identifying new opportunities for mutually beneficial partnerships. This engagement reflects Tanzania's commitment to fostering a conducive investment environment while building strong partnerships that drive sustainable development, regional prosperity, and shared economic success.

FACILITATION MEETING FOR GHANAIAN COMPANIES' EXECUTIVES AND SMES PLANNING A MARKET ENTRY EXPEDITION IN TANZANIA




On 6th July, 2023, H. E. Dr. Benson Alfred Bana, High Commissioner of Tanzania to Ghana with concurrent representation to other 14 West African countries, accompanied by Mr. Philbert Bachokemu Peter, Economic Affairs Attaché, had a fruitful discussion with Dr. Fareed Kwesi Arthur, National AfCFTA Coordinator for Ghana. Their conversation focused on the Market Entry Expedition by Ghanaian companies' executives and SMEs to Tanzania scheduled for September 2023.

H. E. Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania, is currently the AfCFTA Champion for Women and Youth and a strong advocate of SMEs development on the continent.
