Tanzania Strengthens Strategic Investment Partnership with Dangote Group

As part of Tanzania's Strategic Investment Drive, a high-level Government delegation  led by Hon Kitila Mkumbo (MP) Minister for Investment and Planning undertook a visit to Lagos, Nigeria, from 5–7 August 2026. A key engagement was a meeting with Dangote Group leadership, led by Alhaji Aliko Dangote, reaffirming the shared commitment to strengthen Tanzania–Nigeria economic cooperation. Discussions focused on expanding investment across strategic sectors, advancing industrial development, and identifying new opportunities for mutually beneficial partnerships. This engagement reflects Tanzania's commitment to fostering a conducive investment environment while building strong partnerships that drive sustainable development, regional prosperity, and shared economic success.

Inaugurating the Honorary Consul of Tanzania to the Republic of Ghana


On 19th August, 2023 the High Commissioner, H. E. Dr Benson Alfred Bana, presented the Symbols of Office to Hon. Dr. Ken Kwaku, Honorary Consul of Tanzania to the Republic of Ghana. The symbols included the Exequatur, the flag of Tanzania and the portraits of the President of the United Republic of Tanzania and that of the Father of the nation as well as brochures on Tanzania Investment Opportunities, Tourism and Trade.

  Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, a Government agency has granted a Foreign Carrier Operating Permit to Air Tanzania to commerce scheduled flights between Dar es Salaam and Accra. The commencement of direct flights between these two cities will ease connectivity and promote trade, investment and tourism activities.  This step marks another milestone of enhancing relations and cooperation between Tanzania and West Africa region.
