The High Commission successfully coordinated the visit to Abuja Nigeria by Gen. Jacob John Mkunda, Tanzania’s Chief of Defense Forces, to attend the First African Chiefs of Defence Staff Meeting held from 25 to 27 August 2025 in Abuja. The meeting was under the theme 'Combating Contemporary Threats to Regional Peace and Security in Africa' and attended by 37 Defence Chiefs from African countries.

On 29/08/2023-30/08/2023, in Lagos, H. E. Dr. Benson Alfred Bana, High Commissioner, was among the Diplomatic Corps who participated in the International Business Conference hosted by the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI). In his goodwill remarks the High Commissioner seized the opportunity to outline Tanzania’s investment opportunities and incentives for prospective investors.
