Tanzanian High Commissioner Hosts ACCI Deputy President to Advance Tanzania–Nigeria Trade and Investment Cooperation.

On 2 June 2026, The Tanzania High Commissioner to Nigeria H. E. Selestine Gervas Kakele welcomed Prof. Adesoji Adesugba, the Deputy President of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) at Tanzania House Abuja. During the Meeting H.E Kakele and Prof Adesugba focused on exploring opportunities to further strengthen the existing bilateral relations between Tanzania and Nigeria, particularly in the areas of trade, investment, commerce, and private sector collaboration. With the upcoming ACCI trade mission to Tanzania in August 2026, discussions highlighted the importance of fostering business-to-business engagements, and creating new avenues for mutual growth and prosperity between the two countries Private Sectors.

H. E. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan Appointed to the Advisory Board of the Global Centre on Adaptation (GCA)



The High Commission congratulates H. E. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania on her appointment to the Advisory Board of the Global Centre on Adaptation (GCA) a vital world body that fosters climate resilience for human wellbeing. The appointment letter was delivered to the President by Mr. Ban Ki-moon, GCA Board Chairperson and former Secretary General of the United Nations on the sidelines of Africa Climate Summit 23 in Nairobi, Kenya on 06/09/2023.


Other members of the GCA Board include: Mr. Macky Sall, President of Senegal, Mr. Moussa Faki Mahamat, Chairperson of the African Union (AU) Commission, Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, President of Africa Development Bank (AfDB) and Ms. Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director of International Monetary Fund (IMF).
