Tanzania Strengthens Strategic Investment Partnership with Dangote Group

As part of Tanzania's Strategic Investment Drive, a high-level Government delegation  led by Hon Kitila Mkumbo (MP) Minister for Investment and Planning undertook a visit to Lagos, Nigeria, from 5–7 August 2026. A key engagement was a meeting with Dangote Group leadership, led by Alhaji Aliko Dangote, reaffirming the shared commitment to strengthen Tanzania–Nigeria economic cooperation. Discussions focused on expanding investment across strategic sectors, advancing industrial development, and identifying new opportunities for mutually beneficial partnerships. This engagement reflects Tanzania's commitment to fostering a conducive investment environment while building strong partnerships that drive sustainable development, regional prosperity, and shared economic success.

H. E. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan Held A Meeting With the Former President of Nigeria on the Margins of Africa Food Systems Forum




On 07 September, 2023 Her Excellency Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania welcomed H. E. Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, Former President of Nigeria to Tanzania. Her Excellency Madam President had a discussion with the Former President on the margins of the African Food Systems Forum (5-8 September, 2023).

  Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, a Government agency has granted a Foreign Carrier Operating Permit to Air Tanzania to commerce scheduled flights between Dar es Salaam and Accra. The commencement of direct flights between these two cities will ease connectivity and promote trade, investment and tourism activities.  This step marks another milestone of enhancing relations and cooperation between Tanzania and West Africa region.
