The High Commission successfully coordinated the visit to Abuja Nigeria by Gen. Jacob John Mkunda, Tanzania’s Chief of Defense Forces, to attend the First African Chiefs of Defence Staff Meeting held from 25 to 27 August 2025 in Abuja. The meeting was under the theme 'Combating Contemporary Threats to Regional Peace and Security in Africa' and attended by 37 Defence Chiefs from African countries.

On 4/09/2023, Her Excellency Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania welcomed at State House H. E. Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, a day before Africa’s Food Systems Forum 2023, holding in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania from 5th - 8th  September, 2023.
