The High Commission successfully coordinated the visit to Abuja Nigeria by Gen. Jacob John Mkunda, Tanzania’s Chief of Defense Forces, to attend the First African Chiefs of Defence Staff Meeting held from 25 to 27 August 2025 in Abuja. The meeting was under the theme 'Combating Contemporary Threats to Regional Peace and Security in Africa' and attended by 37 Defence Chiefs from African countries.

On the margins of the Africa Climate Summit 23 held in Nairobi, Kenya between 4th - 6th September, 2023, Her Excellency Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania met with H. E. Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, President of African Development Bank (AfDB).
