Tanzania Strengthens Strategic Investment Partnership with Dangote Group

As part of Tanzania's Strategic Investment Drive, a high-level Government delegation  led by Hon Kitila Mkumbo (MP) Minister for Investment and Planning undertook a visit to Lagos, Nigeria, from 5–7 August 2026. A key engagement was a meeting with Dangote Group leadership, led by Alhaji Aliko Dangote, reaffirming the shared commitment to strengthen Tanzania–Nigeria economic cooperation. Discussions focused on expanding investment across strategic sectors, advancing industrial development, and identifying new opportunities for mutually beneficial partnerships. This engagement reflects Tanzania's commitment to fostering a conducive investment environment while building strong partnerships that drive sustainable development, regional prosperity, and shared economic success.

Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda to jointly host CAF Africa Cup of Nations 2027


The High Commission congratulates the leadership of the governments of the three East African Community sister countries, namely Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda, for winning the right to host the African Cup of Nations, AFCON 2027 football tournament. The “Pamoja Bid” has paid dividends, demonstrating that “unity is our strength.”

We congratulate H.E. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania, for directing the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Sports to immediately take measures to construct two state-of-the-art stadiums in Arusha and Dodoma. We welcome the world to Tanzania: the land of Kilimanjaro, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Zanzibar.
