On 22nd of April, 2026 the TBA delegation also met with the Abuja Investment Company Limited, discussions focused on Public-Private Partnership (PPP) models for infrastructure financing, culminating in a site visit to the Garki Ultra-Modern Market a practical example of successful PPP implementation. This visit provided valuable, hands-on insights aligned with TBA’s mandate, further strengthening knowledge exchange and cooperation between Tanzania and Nigeria.

Tanzania under the Leadership of H. E. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan has secured a significant investment of $400 million (1Sh Trillion) to enhance its agricultural programs, in a move set to drive the country’s agricultural sector forward.


The funding agreements were made with the World Bank and the African Development Bank (AFDB), during the African Food Systems Summit AGRF 2023, which held on 5th – 8th September, 2023, in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

These agreements are a major landmark for Tanzania’s agricultural sector, and a demonstration of the commitment of the government and its international partners to priorities and invest in Tanzania’s agricultural development. The deals consist of a $300 million agreement with the World Bank and a $100 million pact with the AfDB.
