Tanzania Strengthens Strategic Investment Partnership with Dangote Group

As part of Tanzania's Strategic Investment Drive, a high-level Government delegation  led by Hon Kitila Mkumbo (MP) Minister for Investment and Planning undertook a visit to Lagos, Nigeria, from 5–7 August 2026. A key engagement was a meeting with Dangote Group leadership, led by Alhaji Aliko Dangote, reaffirming the shared commitment to strengthen Tanzania–Nigeria economic cooperation. Discussions focused on expanding investment across strategic sectors, advancing industrial development, and identifying new opportunities for mutually beneficial partnerships. This engagement reflects Tanzania's commitment to fostering a conducive investment environment while building strong partnerships that drive sustainable development, regional prosperity, and shared economic success.

Amb. Dr. Benson Alfred Bana receives in audience the Dean of the East African Ambassadors’ Group in Abuja




Monday, 16 October 2023, at the Chancery, Amb. Dr. Benson Alfred Bana, received H.E. Amb. Nelson Ocheger, High Commissioner of the Republic of Uganda to Nigeria and Dean of the East African Ambassadors’ Group in Abuja. Amb. Ocheger’s courtesy visit was intended to bid farewell to Amb. Bana who has completed his tenure as High Commissioner, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Republic of Tanzania to Nigeria with concurrent accreditation to other 14 West African Countries. Dr. Bana will leave Abuja in the first week of November 2023.

  Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, a Government agency has granted a Foreign Carrier Operating Permit to Air Tanzania to commerce scheduled flights between Dar es Salaam and Accra. The commencement of direct flights between these two cities will ease connectivity and promote trade, investment and tourism activities.  This step marks another milestone of enhancing relations and cooperation between Tanzania and West Africa region.
