Tanzania Strengthens Strategic Investment Partnership with Dangote Group

As part of Tanzania's Strategic Investment Drive, a high-level Government delegation  led by Hon Kitila Mkumbo (MP) Minister for Investment and Planning undertook a visit to Lagos, Nigeria, from 5–7 August 2026. A key engagement was a meeting with Dangote Group leadership, led by Alhaji Aliko Dangote, reaffirming the shared commitment to strengthen Tanzania–Nigeria economic cooperation. Discussions focused on expanding investment across strategic sectors, advancing industrial development, and identifying new opportunities for mutually beneficial partnerships. This engagement reflects Tanzania's commitment to fostering a conducive investment environment while building strong partnerships that drive sustainable development, regional prosperity, and shared economic success.

Tanzania High Commission will be at the Lagos International Trade Fair (LITF), from 8th - 12th Nov, 2023


The Lagos International Trade Fair (LITF)is the largest international exhibition in West Africa. The Trade Fair is the premier International Trade Fair in Nigeria with the spectacular 10-day event usually starting on the first Friday of November, annually. This year the fair will hold from Friday 3rd to Sunday 12th November, 2023. The LITF is one of the fairs powered by one of the oldest Chambers in Africa, Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (135years), based in Lagos, Nigeria .

Air Tanzania is Granted Foreign Carrier Operating Permit

  Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, a Government agency has granted a Foreign Carrier Operating Permit to Air Tanzania to commerce scheduled flights between Dar es Salaam and Accra. The commencement of direct flights between these two cities will ease connectivity and promote trade, investment and tourism activities.  This step marks another milestone of enhancing relations and cooperation between Tanzania and West Africa region.
