The High Commission successfully coordinated the visit to Abuja Nigeria by Gen. Jacob John Mkunda, Tanzania’s Chief of Defense Forces, to attend the First African Chiefs of Defence Staff Meeting held from 25 to 27 August 2025 in Abuja. The meeting was under the theme 'Combating Contemporary Threats to Regional Peace and Security in Africa' and attended by 37 Defence Chiefs from African countries.

Ordinary Meeting of the Heads of Mission of the East Africa Community (EAC) Group, Abuja


On 13th December, 2023, the Heads of Missions of the East Africa Community (EAC) Group in Abuja had a regular meeting hosted by the Ugandan High Commissioner, H. E Amb. Nelson Ocheger - Dean of the EAC Group. The Heads of Missions convened to discuss issues of mutual interest in the EAC.
