The High Commission successfully coordinated the visit to Abuja Nigeria by Gen. Jacob John Mkunda, Tanzania’s Chief of Defense Forces, to attend the First African Chiefs of Defence Staff Meeting held from 25 to 27 August 2025 in Abuja. The meeting was under the theme 'Combating Contemporary Threats to Regional Peace and Security in Africa' and attended by 37 Defence Chiefs from African countries.

Her Excellency Mariam Chabi Talata Zimé Yérima, Vice President of the Republic of Benin is amongst Heads of State and Government who has attended the African Heads of State Energy Summit held on 27th-28th January, Dar es Salaam Tanzania.
